Back to Reality: Post-Holiday Weekend RECOVERY TIPS

Long weekends are pure magic—late mornings, spontaneous plans, extra servings of dessert, and just the right amount of sun. But the return to reality? Not so magical. If you’re feeling a bit sluggish, scattered, or slightly out of sync post-holiday, you’re not alone. Resetting after a festive weekend can feel like trying to run a marathon in flip-flops.

Here’s your gentle nudge and a few tips to get back on track while still being kind to yourself:

1. Hydrate Like It’s Your Job

Between cocktails, sun, and salt, your body’s likely craving water. Start your day with a tall glass of lemon water and keep that bottle close all day long.

2. Ease Back Into Routine

Don’t go zero to 100. Choose one or two habits to focus on—maybe a morning walk or a light breakfast. Your energy will thank you.

3. Move Your Body (Gently)

You don’t need a hardcore workout to “bounce back.” Try some light stretching, a walk outside, or a Pilates session to get things flowing.

4. Plan One Thing That Makes You Happy

Whether it’s your favorite latte, a cozy outfit, or lighting your go-to candle while you answer emails, sprinkle in some comfort to soften the back-to-work transition.

5. Forgive the Bloat, the Inbox, and the Chaos

Remember: it’s perfectly normal to feel off. Give yourself grace. You had a great weekend—you should feel a little undone. That’s how you know you lived it fully.

Back to work doesn’t have to mean back to stress. Slow and steady wins this race, and you’re already doing great!!!
